I've been through all the diagnostics with the Hughes support center and have had a technician out to the house last month to tweak the system. Still funky! I am hoping that I can upgrade to the HN9000s later this year and maybe web serfing will be faster than though the phone lines (copper up here in the forest, high sierras). I am paying $92.00 a month and have few other options available in my locality. I envy my son's high speeed internet connection in Modesto, CA. It's like instantaneous! It takes up to a minute for me to access websites! It’s a little more them cable, but what can you do.
