In many ways satellite technology is the ultimate communication technology, so it’s really no wonder that it would also be the ultimate technology for providing access to the Internet. In fact, Hughes Net has made satellite Internet connections accessible to a variety of home and business users all over the country. There are a number of advantages of using satellite technology from Hughes Net for high speed satellite Internet service in . The most obvious advantage is that satellite technology can move huge amounts of data in very short periods of time. In fact Hughes Net can provide home users with download speeds of up to 1.5 megabytes per second, while business users can enjoy download speeds of up to 2 megabytes per second. That means that even the largest digital photographs can be downloaded almost instantly, and it will finally make sense to download video from the Internet. Even though upload speeds are slower than the download speeds, you still won’t have any trouble sharing your own digital photos and even large video files with friends or business contacts. While high connection speeds are great, the fact that satellite Internet service from Hughes Net is available just about everywhere in is also a huge benefit. Unlike broadband cable Internet access, which is only available where digital cable TV is available, and DSL, which has spotty access and widely varying speeds and prices, satellite Internet access from Hughes Net is available anywhere there’s a clear view to the southern sky. That means that you can enjoy broadband Internet access regardless of whether your home or business is located in a major metropolitan area or in the middle of the Mojave Desert.
Satellite technology has allowed some amazing technologies to be developed that have allowed people more freedom and flexibility in meeting their telecommunications needs. Just like satellite television freed people from having to use cable television and let people living in remote locations access television, satellite Internet services are now letting people access the web without having to rely on the traditional Internet providers of cable television and telephone companies. Satellite Internet service provides reliable and convenient service to customers all over the nation. These customers are getting all the flexibility that is inherent in a satellite system while also getting advanced and fast Internet access.
If you’re looking for a way to get a high speed Internet connection in for your home or business that’s reliable and flexible enough to provide you with service for years to come, then Hughes Net is the service for you. That’s because no other Internet service provider in can provide high speed broadband access to the Internet to as wide of a geographical area. While cable based broadband Internet service is pretty much limited to cities and suburbs and DSL is inconsistent, Hughes Net is available almost everywhere. So how can one company provide high speed Internet access in so many places where others can’t? It’s simple really: Hughes Net uses satellite technology.
Hughes Net satellite Internet service is the versatile high speed Internet solution that’s available to anyone in North America who has a clear view to the southern sky. That means the ultimate flexibility when it comes to where you live and work. With a satellite Internet connection it doesn’t matter whether you’re in the middle of the city or the middle of the tundra- you’ll be able to get download speeds of up to 1.5 megabytes per second and upload speeds of up to 200 kilobytes per second. Compare that to a maximum download speed of about 50 kilobytes per second with dial up if you’re lucky, and there’s simply no comparison with the next most widely available Internet connection available. In fact, because it doesn’t require a phone line, Hughes Net is even more widely available than dial up service. And obviously a lot faster.

Have had the HN7000S for a number of years now, it’s funky in that I am constantly rebooting the modem, and my airport extreme, due to problems with web acceleration, being timed out and freezes. I’ve been through all the diagnostics with the Hughes support center and have had a technician out to the house last month to tweak the system. Still funky! I am hoping that I can upgrade to the HN9000s later this year and maybe web serfing will be faster than though the phone lines (copper up here in the forest, high sierras). I am paying $92.00 a month and have few other options available in my locality. I envy my son’s high speeed internet connection in Modesto, CA. It’s like instantaneous! It takes up to a minute for me to access websites!
